So I've been joking since I got my first hive that the bees are going to teach me patience. An hour after doing a hive inspection I want to open the hive up and see what they're doing. This past weekend was a reminder that nature moves on it's own schedule and no matter how quickly I put a Honey box on the hive...the bees will fill it when they're ready. 

I will point out that we planted additional "bee friendly" plants in the raised bed out back, and the bees are shooting over to it. Our basil is starting to flower now, and I can't wait to see how they take to it.
