Today's video will show you how I set up honey supers to put on the brood boxes. These honey supers will allow a space for the bees to build out comb and add resources, but the boxes will be blocked by a grate with just small enough slits that the queen can't fit through. This way, the queen can't lay eggs.
You'll notice that the honey supers are smaller than the brood boxes. This is because honey is heavy. And you know that when you are the Boxing Beekeeper and picking a full brood box up is hard. Once they have built out the comb, it will hopefully not be too long before we have honey!
