In our latest hive inspection we found that Hive 1 has a fully formed queen cell. The queen that came with the nuc that went into hive 1, seemed to come with a bad leg.

Or maybe more clearly, how do bees live in nature at all, when my bees get mite treatments, have their nutrition supplemented during dearth’s, and have my knowledgeable care during the year but can’t survive the winter.
